How I Help
My work ranges from hands-on technical implementation to advisory and leadership-level support, depending on what the situation requires.
- Cloud architecture & platform decisions — helping teams choose and evolve scalable cloud systems (primarily AWS, with prior GCP experience), balancing cost, reliability, and long-term flexibility
- Infrastructure strategy & Infrastructure as Code — designing repeatable, auditable infrastructure setups using Terraform and CloudFormation, with an emphasis on sustainability and governance
- Data architecture & engineering — shaping data ingestion, ETL/ELT pipelines, and system integration with a focus on downstream use, maintainability, and operational clarity
- Analytics modeling & data platforms — designing analytical data models (e.g. star schemas) that support reliable reporting, decision-making, and organizational scale
- Business intelligence & insight delivery — enabling leadership-facing dashboards and reporting (primarily with Amazon QuickSight) that connect technical data to business questions
- Application & internal tooling — building pragmatic interfaces and internal tools (Bubble.io, Retool) where they reduce complexity rather than introduce it
- Automation & process design — identifying and eliminating manual workflows through system design, automation, and integration across tools
- Scientific & high-performance computing — supporting numerical pipelines and distributed workloads where modeling, performance, and correctness matter
Decision Support & Technical Leadership
Not all technology challenges are execution problems. At certain points, the biggest risk is making the wrong decision — not building the wrong thing.
Alongside hands-on consulting, I support founders and leadership teams in clarifying technical trade-offs, assessing architecture and platform risk, and navigating inflection points where technology choices have long-term consequences. This is most relevant during growth transitions, platform rewrites, funding events, or moments where technical choices are hard to reverse.
