How I Help
My work ranges from hands-on implementation to architecture advisory and technical decision support, depending on where the bottleneck sits.
- Cloud architecture & platform decisions — helping teams design and evolve cloud-based systems, balancing reliability, cost, security, operational burden, and long-term flexibility. Most of my recent work has been AWS-based, with prior GCP experience.
- Infrastructure strategy & Infrastructure as Code — designing repeatable, auditable infrastructure using tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation, with attention to governance, maintainability, and controlled change
- Data architecture & engineering — shaping ingestion, ETL/ELT, event-driven integration, and analytical data flows with a focus on downstream use, maintainability, lineage, and operational clarity
- Analytics modeling & data platforms — designing analytical models and data products that support reliable reporting, decision-making, and organizational scale
- Business intelligence & insight delivery — building leadership-facing reporting and dashboard foundations, primarily with Amazon QuickSight, that connect technical data to business questions
- Architecture reviews & technical risk — helping leadership and technical teams understand platform risk, technical debt, cloud cost drivers, data-flow fragility, and the consequences of major technology choices
- Automation & process design — reducing manual workflows through pragmatic system design, integration, and targeted automation
- Application & internal tooling — building pragmatic interfaces and internal tools, including Bubble.io and Retool, where they reduce complexity rather than introduce it
- Scientific workflow & distributed computing — designing and operating workflow orchestration for scientific data processing across HPC/Grid-style environments, where correctness, reproducibility, scheduling, and failure handling matter
Decision Support & Technical Leadership
Not all technology challenges are execution problems. At certain points, the biggest risk is not poor execution — it is committing to the wrong technical direction.
Alongside hands-on consulting, I support founders, leadership teams, and technical managers in clarifying trade-offs, assessing architecture and platform risk, and navigating data, cloud, automation, and AI-readiness decisions where choices have long-term consequences.
This is most relevant during growth transitions, platform rewrites, funding events, due diligence, technical leadership gaps, or moments where architectural choices are hard to reverse.
